AboutAlysha Creighton is an intermedia artist from Vancouver, BC. She holds a BA in Visual Art from Trinity Western University and an MFA in Drawing and Intermedia from the University of Alberta. Her performance-based practice draws on her background in dance and movement, exploring moments of physical, social and psychological tension between people though drawing, photography and video. Recent projects include her site-specific project Waiting Room at the Bleeding Heart Art Space, her solo exhibition Proximities at the Art Gallery of St. Albert, and a video installation as part of the 2013 Alberta Biennial. She teaches Drawing and Intermedia courses at the University of Alberta and also works as a lead artist at the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts where she assists artists with developmental disabilities in bringing their ideas to life through digital animation.
